Red Bull Elite Youth Cup Round 1 Day 1
Well folks this is it, the wait is finally over and the gate has dropped on the first round of the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup at the fantastic Fatcat motoparc facility, Doncaster. With the promised rain holding off the only thing, other than the deep sand, that both riders and advertising hoardings, had to contend with was a rather fresh breeze that was doing it’s best to create havoc around the immaculately prepared circuit!

Wind or no wind Nathan Watson immediately set about stamping his mark on the Elite Rookie class with a dominating performance that saw him finish over 18 seconds ahead of nearest rival Jake Millward in the first race of the season. Just in case there were any doubts over his credentials Watson went on to sweep all three of the day’s motos, the only real challenge coming in the third moto when James Dunn managed to finish a mere second adrift.

With clean sweeps the order of the day Ben Watson stood up to be counted as he took all wins in The Red Bull Elite Youth Cup Big Wheel class on his KTM, showing a clean pair of heels to the rest of the field as he finished nearly 20 seconds ahead in each moto, Michael Eccles being his nearest challenger with a pair of seconds and a third.

In both the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup Small Wheel and Red Bull Elite Youth Cup 65 Junior classes there were no clean sweeps but both Jordan Eccles (SW) and Alexander Brown (65 Junior) both brought home the bacon with a pair of wins apiece in their respective classes.
With 2 more motos for each Red Bull Elite Youth Cup class set to run tomorrow there’s still plenty of points up for grabs, and as everyone knows, points make prizes!
